Middle school is a really struggling time for many. I know for myself it was. I personally, hate it. It’s like you are between being a kid and an adult. We want these students to know that they can come to any teaching staff at any time. We want to have a good line of communication with these students and their families. We need to remind her of the classroom and school rules. We want to make sure that we are do lots and lots of documenting. We can do this by doing lots of observations and doing anecdotal notes. We can take these notes and look back at them and then be able to come back to sit down and make a plan. A plan to see what we can do fix the issues that we going on. Then when come up with the plan we still need to document the things that are going on. This will tell you whether or not it is working or not. Then you can tweak the plan to make it works better. By doing this it is a good way to show the parents what is going so that they know they need to really know what is going on with their child. It is so important that we include the parents in what is going on. This would all help the classroom.
